No Way Home

Introversion ∝ Strangers

Bommanahalli to Marenahalli. It’s a 6km distance, and it took me one-and-a-half-hour walk to reach Payhuddle for the first time.

Hey, I am Venkat, not a Spiderman: No Way Home.

Hm! I was new to Bangalore, and my introversion runs so deep that asking strangers for help with the bus route felt like a daring feat.

Hence proved. Yo! Introversion∝ Strangers.

No Judgment+ Encouragement = Healthy Workplace

It’s been five years since I joined Payhuddle.

In the start, I often found myself in a passive listening role during every conversation. When my colleagues would turn to me and say, 'Speak up, man!' I would simply offer a smile and a nod, indicating that I would contribute next time. Gosh! This became somewhat of a pattern.

Ah! With the passage of time, I began to join my colleague for a coffee break, where I found the support and encouragement I needed to speak up confidently in English. My mistakes were gently corrected, and I never felt judged for them. That’s what we name a healthy environment at the workplace. Aha!

Hence Proved.

There is No Way to Quitting

Well! I have the habit of finishing whatever I have started. A successful outcome is rooted in a strong start, which is why I prioritize finishing. To put it simply, there is no way home (quitting).

During the COVID-19 lockdown, a critical project required our team to be on a continuous call for 12 hours without any breaks. Duh, at times, I even stayed in the office for five consecutive days to ensure that the project was completed on time. Despite the long hours and hard work, I enjoyed the challenge and the sense of fulfillment that came with successfully completing the project.

In the end, we serve the world. Bam!

Attitude towards your work is Everything! It doesn’t matter whether you are an introvert or an extrovert.
