Payhuddle assists three leading international payment schemes in its TSEC file and card image generation and maintenance

Our clients, three major global payment networks, wanted to create a customized 8-part TSEC file and card images for Level 3 test tool vendors. This file would help migrate to the latest EMVCo L3TG standards, streamline test plan processing, and meet specific scheme requirements.

Payhuddle took on the challenge, handling everything from generating and editing the base TSEC files to including ICS questions, test cases, suggestions, and error fixes. Despite the complexity, we successfully delivered the project on time.

What did we do?

We used our TSEC editor tool to create and roll out TSEC and Card image files according to the custom parameters set by the payment schemes and the rules specified in the EMVCo L3TG framework. The tool can manage the context dependencies that can be managed for every edit in easy steps without manually going through each file.

We built the TSEC and Card image file generation tool with built-in details like errors, suggestions, test cards, and pass criteria automatically after you add the test cases and questions. When you build a pass criteria, you can just focus on the business criteria rather than syntax.

What challenges did we address during this project?
  1. Creating the TSEC and Card image file involves a vast number of combinations.
  2. Manual creation of the TSEC and Card Image file results in errors.
  3. Comparing the present version with the previous version of TSEC and Card images was like finding a needle in the haystack.
  4. Entering the EMV and proprietary commands
Benefits for the customer

We delivered the base TSEC file for one payment scheme; we provided the functional integration and transit TSEC for the other.

The project, which would have taken three months if done manually, was delivered in one month with testing included. It helped them migrate to EMV L3TG faster without looking for errors and missing critical scenarios after distribution to tool vendors.

Two payment schemes even bought the tool due to its intuitiveness and got trained on the EMVCo L3 standards and the tool.
